When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior …” NIV
There is so much here to ponder!
I was created by God … that in itself is a wonder. When I worry about how or why I do things the way that I do them, I am questioning His wisdom in creating me. God made me just the way I am, and further, he has redeemed me. Redeemed me … by the blood of Jesus Christ. He sent His son to die for my sins so that I would have life everlasting.
Because of that, there is nothing on earth that can harm my soul. It is sealed. I am His.
I also love the way that The Message translates these verses. “When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place , it won’t be a dead end — because I am God, your personal God, the Holy of Israel, your Savior.” The Message
So, what is there to worry about?
