Psalm 119: 41&42
May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise; then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word. NIV
I’m back again in Psalm 119. There are so many reminders not to worry in this Psalm — and here is another:
God’s love is unfailing. He promised to save me. He sent His son for that purpose. I trust that God meant what He said. I trust Jesus for my salvation. And, it is in that confidence that I can stand up to the worries that I face, that I can stop worry in its tracks, and that I can commit not to worry in this new year.
The Message paraphrases verse 41, “Let your love, God, shape my life with salvation, exactly as you promised.” MSG
That’s my prayer today.
