Psalm 146: 7b-9
The LORD sets prisoners free, the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous. The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked. NIV
He sets prisoners free. I have been a prisoner to worry for years and years. Christ has set me free from it. Praise God!
He gives sight to the blind. I was so trapped in my self-made worry prison, that I couldn’t see a way out. I didn’t even recognize how much I was in bondage to worry. I see that now. I recognize it.
He lifts up those who are bowed down; He loves the righteous. I’ve been bowed down. As I’ve earnestly sought to be obedient to God, His love has lifted me.
He’s set me free, given me a new perspective and lifted me up with His love. He watches over me as I live in this world. Faithful God: My Helper, My Hope.
That’s what I’ll think about today.
